A leading financial institution is seeking a Credit Risk Specialist in Glasgow to identify, analyze, and mitigate credit risks associated with lending activities. Applicants should have strong technical skills in UNIX and SQL, as well as excellent communication abilities. The role involves analyzing financial data and monitoring loan portfolios to support bank lending policies. To be successful as a Credit Risk Specialist, you should have experience with:
Personal attributes essential to performing role including capabilities, knowledge, and experience
Experience in primarily Run the Bank roles in financial institutions, consulting or technology companies or Programme management roles in other industries
Technical experience with high proficiency in UNIX, SQL, ITIL
Experience with ITIL concepts and best practices. Experience of using configuration management tools and reporting. (preferred Service Management Tool - Service First / SNOW)
Experience in batch monitoring tools (preferably - Autosys)
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Windows experience
Unix, database technologies primarily in Investment Banking domain. (Exposure to Risk business area will be preferred)
Knowledge of Investment Bank and IB risk functional knowledge
Excellent communication (verbal and written) suitable for a diverse audience, with the ability to communicate in a positive, friendly and effective manner with ‘technical’ or ‘non-technical’ users/ customers
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
