This is an exciting opportunity for an entry-level candidate to join the Credit Risk Modelling team. The role involves supporting the development of models for the UK Retail Portfolio, including decision models and IFRS 9 ECL models, which are critical to the bank’s growth strategy. The successful candidate will have an analytical background, formulate conclusions from analysis, and communicate findings clearly and concisely.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the development and maintenance of models for UK Retail portfolios, including application scores, behaviour scores, and IFRS 9 ECL models.
  • Collaborate with deployment teams to implement models and with strategy teams on their use.
  • Perform analytical tasks related to modelling as assigned by the Project Lead.
  • Produce or utilize monitoring/MI to assess the impact and performance of risk decisions/models, providing accurate and insightful commentary.
  • Communicate effectively to highlight issues or concerns to the project lead.

To be successful, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Proven analytical background.
  • Experience coding in SAS, SQL, Python, or R.
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing data, with the ability to draw thorough conclusions.
  • Effective communication skills.

This role is based in Leeds, Sheffield, Birmingham, or Chester on a hybrid working basis.
