My client is a growing international bank. This role is based in London but offers hybrid working flexibility (3 days per week in the office, 2 working from home).

The Risk division encompasses the Credit Risk, Country Risk, Operational Risk, Physical Commodities Risk Assurance, Business Continuity Management, and Market Risk disciplines. Credit Risk involves rating and analysis, ongoing monitoring, and reporting of the bank's credit exposure. The successful candidate will apply their experience and knowledge of specific industry or product areas to minimize inherent credit risks while managing these risks against potential rewards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage a portfolio mainly consisting of Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs), focusing on funds, asset managers, insurance companies, and broker-dealers.
  2. Perform detailed credit analysis of financial information, including published and management reports, financial models, fund newsletters, and sensitivity scenarios.
  3. Liaise with clients and potential clients to verify supplied information and determine sound credit opinions regarding risks involved.
  4. Manage the end-to-end credit risk process, including collaboration with the Front Office on credit limit requests.
  5. Provide input and advice on credit terms and support negotiations of legal documentation such as GMRA and ISDA with CSA.
  6. Conduct risk analysis on new and existing transactions, focusing on global markets, commodities, derivatives, and some loans.
  7. Assist the Front Office with time-sensitive trading requests.
  8. Apply own Delegated Authority when approving transaction or limit requests.
  9. Continuously monitor the creditworthiness of the portfolio using various sources and direct contact with clients.
  10. Maintain the bank’s database of client, product, and industry information to support portfolio management.
  11. Monitor and report on customer positions, including limit excesses, non-payments, disputed collateral calls, and stress testing results.
  12. Participate in relevant projects and New Product Processes (NPPs) related to credit risk management of Financial Institution clients.
  13. Support team members in relationship management efforts, including ad-hoc credit analysis and secondary credit management functions.
  14. Assist the Head of Financial Institutions Credit Risk in London and the Global Head of Financial Institutions Credit.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience working in a regulated environment, ideally in Financial Services.
  • Proven track record of performance in Financial Services.
  • Minimum 2 years of credit analysis experience, preferably covering funds and NBFIs.
