CREDIT RISK CONSULTANT

£70,000 - £80,000

Join a leading credit data and analytics provider as a Credit Risk Consultant, working on high-impact, client-facing analytical projects across a variety of industries. This is a key strategic hire for a team that partners directly with financial services, telecoms, and other sectors to optimise data-led decision making.

THE COMPANY

Join a global data and analytics company that enables businesses to make smarter lending decisions using powerful data insights. Their analytics team partners directly with clients to develop models, scorecards, and data strategies that improve commercial outcomes.

THE ROLE

As a Consultant, your day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Engage proactively with clients to understand business models, challenges, and data needs.
  • Work in consultancy projects such as credit strategy, scorecard development, and model building.
  • Supervise and mentor a small team of analysts.
  • Apply statistical and machine learning techniques such as regression, decision trees, CHAID, clustering.
  • Use SQL and Python to prepare data and build robust solutions.
  • Understand and navigate regulatory environments affecting clients.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 6+ years' experience in credit risk, modelling, or analytical consultancy.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills in a credit analytics environment.
  • Proven experience using credit bureau data (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
