Job description

Credit Risk Analyst

Join to apply for the Credit Risk Analyst role at Lumon

Lumon is a leading foreign exchange and international payments company which enables effortless overseas payments by uniting people, technology & expertise. We help companies expand their businesses globally – from paying international suppliers and staff, to receiving funds from international clients, to managing currency risks to their bottom‑line from constantly changing currency exchange rates. We are passionate about what we do, believing that helping people and companies achieve their goals is more valuable than just moving money.

What’s the role?

You will carry out risk assessments on new and existing customers, as well as monitoring the evolution of our exposure. You will complete financial analysis demonstrating both insight and understanding of financial statements and relevant non‑financial information. You will also assist with credit control activities.

So, what does that actually mean?

Your main tasks will include:

  • Reviewing corporate financial statements and other information to assess and recommend suitable credit limits.
  • Performing credit control activities in line with credit policy.
  • Portfolio oversight to ensure all customers continue to meet qualifying terms.
  • Identifying and monitoring watchlist exposures and agreeing strategies for management with Credit Risk Manager and CRO.
  • Provision of credit reporting to the Credit Risk Manager and CRO.
  • Supporting work to enhance and digitise the credit assessment and credit control processes.
  • Other general MI and admin tasks as requested from time to time by the CRO.

The most important attribute you can bring to this job is ambition to have a big impact on a growing business, a willingness to work hard and the right ingenuity to make that happen.

We look for people who strive to improve, are restless in their desire to exceed expectations, but who know that working as a team brings better results than working alone.

What else will help you to succeed in this role?

We are looking for a bright and ambitious individual who wants to start their career in a dynamic financial services environment.

  • You have a degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
  • You are competent in MS packages, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and you feel comfortable presenting credit proposals to senior internal stakeholders.
  • You are comfortable being responsible for your own workload while prioritising day‑to‑day tasks when needed.
What can we offer you?
  • Highly competitive salary
  • Hybrid working between our office in Dublin and Home
  • 25 days Annual leave, with a chance to purchase up to 5 additional days each year + annual leave on your birthday
  • 24/7 GP, counselling and Psychotherapy sessions for all members and their direct families and Employee Assistance Programme
  • 4× Annual salary Life Assurance
  • Pension contributions – ER contribution of up to 3%, Employee contribution up to 5%
  • Cycle to work scheme and season ticket travel loan scheme
  • Enhanced Maternity leave – 12 weeks @ full pay, 8 weeks @ half pay followed by 19 weeks SMP = 39 weeks. Statutory Paternity Pay – Full pay for maximum of 2 weeks
  • Medicash Cash plan benefits such as Free eye tests, Dental check‑ups and access to therapy treatments
