A Japanese trading company is currently recruiting a Credit Risk Analyst to work in their London office under a maternity cover contract.

In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking quantitative and qualitative assessments of credit risk for the company and its affiliates and managing the Credit Application process. The ideal candidate should have around 2 years credit risk assessment experience, analytical skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • TYPE: Fixed term contract until February 2027
  • WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday
  • SALARY: £32k – £35k depending on experience
  • START: Dec 2025
  • LOCATION: Central London, United Kingdom (hybrid working, 3 days a week in-office)
Credit Risk Analyst Main Responsibilities
  • Analysing financial statements and preparing credit reviews for the applications from UK business departments and affiliate companies
  • Recommend credit ratings/limits and credit enhancement as appropriate
  • Manage the inflow and outflow of Credit Applications
  • Involved in other ad-hoc duties as required by the line manager from time to time
Credit Risk Analyst Ideal Candidate
  • 1-2 years Credit Analyst experience or Bookkeeping certification
  • Proven experience in a similar role/professional environment
  • Understanding of company accounts including balance sheets, income and cash flow statements
  • Self-motivated, commercially oriented and driven individual with understanding of credit risk assessment and management
  • Ability to deliver under tight deadlines where necessary
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Basic- Intermediate Excel)
  • Proactive and flexible with excellent time management skills
  • Business level fluency in English
