Job summary

WSP is seeking a Credit Risk Analyst to support our engineers and client onboarding across the UK & Ireland. You will run and review credit risk reports, assess client creditworthiness and engage with Finance and operations to inform decisions.

You will build relationships with stakeholders, monitor credit limits, and contribute to the policy and service delivery within a professional services environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Credit Risk, Credit Control or Accounts Receivable and other transactional accounting.
• Professional services or engineering/construction sector experience is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• New client set up and credit checking, including researching and evaluating creditworthiness.
• Review and monitor existing credit limits and detrimental monitoring.
• Build relationships with stakeholders across Finance and operations; participate in calls and decision-making.
• Support the Credit Risk policy and Credit Management services within the business.

A Little More About Your Role…

You will become part of a busy team, working together to support our engineers in credit risk and new client setup for the exciting projects they will be delivering for their clients. The majority of your time will be spent running and reviewing credit risk reports, along with researching and evaluating the client credit worthiness.

You will build relationships with key stakeholders across Finance and our operational business then use those connections to join calls and be included in the decision making based on your knowledge and recommendations. You will become a key member of the wider business team and an expert in credit risk in our industry.

Areas in which you will be supported to deliver an excellent service include:

• New client set up and credit checking to including researching and evaluating the credit
• Worthiness of the client and the autonomy to make decisions on next steps
• Review and monitor existing credit limits and detrimental monitoring
• Building great, productive relationships across all levels of the business
• Raising the profile of the credit risk policy and Credit Management services
• Team-working to ensure cover when others are on holiday

What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate…

• Credit Risk, Credit Control / Accounts Receivable or other transactional accounting experience such as Accounts Payable, Treasury, Cash Application or Billing.
• Experience in aProfessional Services environment (like a Law firmor Consultancy) or Engineering / Construction sector is preferred but not essential
• The ability to manage multiple priorities, manage your own time and meet deadlines
• Great attention to detail and understand what it takes to deliver an excellent service to
• your customers.

We try to contact our internal and external customers by telephone rather than email, so you’llneed to have strong communication skills and understand the behaviours you’ll need to display as an ambassador for WSP.You’ll also need to be able to write great, accurate and concise emails.

You may be studying for CICM (Chartered Institute of Credit Management) exams or alreadyhave them.Or you may be studying for a different qualification or be interested in exploringone.Either way, you’ll want to continue developing yourself and your career with WSP.
