Job description

A Global bank based in London is currently seeking a Credit Portfolio Assistant to join the bank's Credit Management Division. This role requires presence in the London office five days a week.

Requirements:

  • Strong Excel skills, including macros, data analysis, and MI reporting
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Full UK working rights; no sponsorship available

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing, analyzing, and managing potential risks in extending credit to businesses or other entities
  • Minimizing credit-related losses by monitoring and analyzing the loan portfolio and identifying early warning signals
  • Producing reports in both Chinese and English
  • Monitoring the credit portfolio for signs of distress or deteriorating credit quality, including tracking repayment patterns, financial covenants, internal ratings, country risk, and large exposures
  • Preparing regular reports and MI packs for management, committees, head office, regulators, and other stakeholders, providing updates on credit risk exposure and risk management strategies
  • Controlling credit risk limits, including derivatives and money market limits

The position offers a salary of £70,000 to £90,000 per annum, plus bonus, holidays, and hybrid working arrangements.
