Join the Close Brothers Asset Finance, Wholesale Finance Team where you will maximise our sales opportunities by effectively managing the communication, reporting and signposting of finance proposals coming into the Wholesale Fleet business directly from end-user customers.

This will involve building relationships internally with the sales and credit teams, as well as externally with customers submitting the proposals, reviewing credit papers and obtaining additional information where needed.

Our ideal team member is someone with strong communication and relationship building skills who has a head for numbers, and ideally some credit experience. This role is a good opportunity for someone to utilise those skills in a non-field based sales function.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing strong relationships with clients to understand how to increase flow of business and remove blockers to transacting with Close Brothers
  • Become the bridge between sales and credit, increasing conversion rates on deals received
  • Manage and improve the reporting we provide internally and externally on our end users, ensuring the information is timely and accurate
  • Analyse and signpost decisions which may need senior management review, liaising with the customer to obtain additional information which will support the submission
  • Communicate credit decisions with customers in a professional and friendly manner
  • Work with the MD of the business and Finance function to ensure RWA analysis for end users is timely and accurate
  • Present at the monthly sales meeting, providing trend analysis on our end user deal flow to allow the sales team to maximise client meetings and increase proposal numbers
  • Successfully convert a minimum of 5% of the identified opportunities in your first year, moving to 10% in year 2.
  • Complete administration tasks in support of streamlining credit submissions within Wholesale Finance
  • Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required.

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience in a relevant role within the Financial Services industry - either Client/Relationship Management, Sales and/or Underwriting
  • Strong numerical ability
  • Experience of utilising data to generate useful insights and reports
  • Ability to work in a fast moving environment and adapt to the challenges of a new role to the business
  • A proactive attitude to client management and a background of working with long term clients
  • A strong desire to succeed in a target driven environment
