Job summary

KERV Legal in Liverpool is seeking an experienced Credit Hire Litigator to join our established litigation team. You will manage a full caseload of litigated Credit Hire claims, handling fast-track and multi-track matters through to trial while meeting court deadlines.

Applicants should have proven Credit Hire experience, a solid understanding of MOJ and CPR protocols, and be adept at negotiation and client communication. Hybrid working is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience handling Credit Hire claims is essential.
• Experience managing litigated RTA matters to resolution.
• Solid understanding of Credit Hire case law and procedures.
• Familiarity with MOJ Protocols, Pre-Action Protocols and CPR.

Responsibilities

Job description

I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Hire Litigator / Fee Earner to join a well-established litigation team in Liverpool.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a full caseload of litigated Credit Hire claims
• Handling fast-track, multi-track and liability-disputed matters
• Progressing cases from issue of proceedings through to trial
• Complying with court directions, orders and procedural deadlines
• Negotiating settlements and securing the best possible outcomes for clients
• Maintaining regular communication with Credit Hire providers
• Building strong relationships with hire companies and other key stakeholders
• Working closely with colleagues across the wider litigation team
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records

About you:

• Previous experience handling Credit Hire claims is essential
• Strong experience managing litigated RTA matters through to resolution
• Good understanding of Credit Hire case law and litigation procedure
• Knowledge of the MOJ Protocols, Pre-Action Protocols and Civil Procedure Rules
• Understanding of personal injury claims and associated costs
• Comfortable working towards KPIs including billing, settlement rates and case duration
• Strong organisation and caseload management skills
• Confident working independently while also contributing to a wider team
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Experience using Proclaim would be advantageous but is not essential
