The Credit & Financial Risks team in London is currently recruiting a Reinsurance Treaty Broker to join the global team based in London.

Aon’s Credit & Financial Risks team in London

The team is responsible for insurance and reinsurance clients based globally, and writing Trade Credit, Surety and Political Risks business. It has direct relationships with many clients, and works in tandem with Aon’s regional offices for other clients. It is part of Aon’s Global Credit reinsurance business.

Existing clients are based in Asia, Africa, Europe, Latin America, North America and the UK and London Market. The clients include multi-line and monoline insurers, and reinsurers.

About the Role:

As a broker in the Credit & Financial Risks team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working with clients on complex, large capacity placements. Within this you will be:-
  • Providing advice to clients and colleagues on placement design, available coverage capacity, likely pricing, potential coverage enhancements and market progress within scope of responsibility
  • Analysing clients’ reinsurance requirements, collect and analyse information to identify risk transfer solutions
  • Reviewing and quality check reinsurance documentation
  • Negotiating the best prices and capacity using knowledge, expertise, and market presence for desired cover where appropriate
  • Contributing to on-going client satisfaction, retention, and profitability
  • Identifying potential new clients and working with the team to win new business
  • Contributing to the growth and success of Aon’s Global Credit business alongside other Credit & Financial Risks teams within Aon’s reinsurance business
  • Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests, or reputation of any Group Company

As a broker, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • Experience in the credit & financial risks re/insurance industry
  • Proven technical understanding of client needs and the credit related re/insurance market
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to demonstrate sound business and financial acumen
  • Have strong industry networking skills and knowledge
  • Have excellent sales and marketing skills
  • Strong team-working capabilities
