Are you looking for a new role in Credit that offers opportunities to progress, alongside hybrid working and excellent benefits?

SF are working exclusively with a market leader with Head Offices based in Solihull. They are a company that really values its staff and builds on a trusting and flexible way of work. This opportunity has come about through growth in the team as they are looking to expand the credit team, which currently consists of 25 members.

Your new role

1. Manage credit problems of both a short and long-term nature.
2. Control bad debts by ensuring that the company does not take undue financial risks or non-commercial decisions, making sure overdue debts are addressed quickly.
3. Maintain stock levels with the branch network, ensuring payments are received for orders to go out.
4. Regularly review accounts on referral, credit limits, and allocate cash.
5. Maintain regular contact with the internal sales team, especially on decisions to escalate an account.
6. Document agreed actions in writing, and ensure all relevant notes are put onto the system.
7. Proactively manage accounts to ensure stock has been delivered and payments will be made on time.
8. Conduct daily bank reconciliations and cash allocation.

What you will need

1. 2+ years in Credit Control / Accounts Receivable.
2. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
3. Ability to show empathy and well-developed listening skills.
4. Ability to influence at all levels.
5. Good working knowledge of finance systems and Excel.
