Job summary

Confidential in Cleckheaton is seeking a Credit Controller to join the accounts department in a permanent, full-time role. The position offers on-site working with parking, and immediate start is available.

You will manage a busy ledger, collect payments, and help maintain healthy cash flow within a fast-paced automotive business. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, be highly organised with excellent attention to detail, and capable of prioritising a demanding workload.

Qualifications

• Experience in Credit Control is a bonus but not essential.
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to liaise with customers at all levels.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively.

Responsibilities

• Managing and collecting payments from a high-volume portfolio of customer accounts.
• Building strong relationships with customers to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices.
• Proactively reducing aged debt and minimising the risk of bad debt exposure.
• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action to resolve overdue balances.
• Reviewing and maintaining customer credit limits in line with company procedures.
• Liaising with both customers and internal departments to resolve account queries quickly and effectively.
• Maintaining accurate records of all communications, payment arrangements, and account activity.
• Supporting the wider accounts team with finance administration where required.
