How you’ll help us make health happen

As a Credit Controller, you’ll be part of our Financial Operations Team, reporting to the Credit Control Manager. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Managing and processing customer payments accurately and on time
  • Handling inbound queries from internal teams and support partners
  • Administering credit control notifications and internal processes
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, including anti-money laundering and sanctions
  • Progressing towards managing your own portfolio of credit control cases
  • Making decisions within agreed parameters to resolve outstanding debt
  • Liaising across departments to deliver a seamless customer experience
  • Reconciling accounts and investigating discrepancies
  • Supporting training and knowledge sharing within the team
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and reduce debtor volumes
  • Escalating any control risks or weaknesses to the Credit Control Manager
  • Supporting other areas of Finance when needed
  • Contacting customers, Brokers and Account Managers as required to discuss outstanding payments and escalate accordingly

Key Skills/Qualifications needed for this role

We’re looking for someone who’s confident with numbers and even better with people. You’ll need:

  • Experience in a credit control or account management role—ideally in insurance or financial services
  • A track record of meeting and exceeding KPIs in a high-volume environment
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to process financial data quickly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence in handling customer queries with professionalism and empathy
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well in a team
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Understanding of regulatory obligations and a commitment to fair customer outcomes
