How you’ll help us make health happen

As a Credit Controller, you’ll be part of our Financial Operations Team, reporting to the Credit Control Manager. Your day-to-day will include:

Managing and processing customer payments accurately and on time

Handling inbound queries from internal teams and support partners

Administering credit control notifications and internal processes

Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, including anti-money laundering and sanctions

Progressing towards managing your own portfolio of credit control cases

Making decisions within agreed parameters to resolve outstanding debt

Liaising across departments to deliver a seamless customer experience

Reconciling accounts and investigating discrepancies

Supporting training and knowledge sharing within the team

Identifying opportunities to improve processes and reduce debtor volumes

Escalating any control risks or weaknesses to the Credit Control Manager

Supporting other areas of Finance when needed

Contacting customers, Brokers and Account Managers as required to discuss outstanding payments and escalate accordingly

Key Skills/Qualifications needed for this role

We’re looking for someone who’s confident with numbers and even better with people. You’ll need:

Experience in a credit control or account management role—ideally in insurance or financial services

A track record of meeting and exceeding KPIs in a high-volume environment

Strong attention to detail and the ability to process financial data quickly

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Confidence in handling customer queries with professionalism and empathy

A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well in a team

A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement

Understanding of regulatory obligations and a commitment to fair customer outcomes
