About The Role

Working hours: Monday to Friday; 08:30 – 17:00

The Role

Reporting into the Head of Transactional Services, the role of our Credit Controllers is to collect cash in a timely manner while minimising bad debts. You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high customer service levels and target achievement.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage your customer portfolio to ensure payments are made within agreed terms.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Handle high volumes of customer calls.
  • Maintain accurate customer records to prevent delays.
  • Update the credit system with collection activities.
  • Process card payments and direct debit mandates.
  • Issue copy invoices as needed.
  • Build rapport with customers.
  • Reconcile statements and manage WIP statements for effective communication.
  • Escalate issues to line manager or team leader.
  • Manage queries via the query management system.
The Ideal Candidate

Candidates should have at least 2 years of credit control experience handling high transaction volumes. The role requires tenacity, organization, and strong customer service skills. Experience with online portals like ProActis, Tradex, or Dwellant is preferred. Proven success in achieving cash collection targets and reducing aged debt is essential.
