Job description

Part-Time Credit Controller

Poole | 15–20 hours/week | Office-based | Flexible hours

John Cribb & Sons Ltd is an 11-branch independent electrical wholesaler with 44 years in the trade — and we’re looking for an experienced Credit Controller to help us stay on top of our aged debt.

You’ll join a friendly finance team of 6 at our Poole Head Office, working closely with our Sales Ledger Clerk. Your role? Own the credit control process, build great relationships with customers and branches, and take action where needed — including legal steps if required.

What we’re looking for:

4+ years in credit control

Confident on the phone & clear communicator

Organised, proactive, and great with systems

Team player with a practical mindset

What you’ll be doing:

Chasing overdue payments (phone/email/letters)

Weekly & monthly aged debt reviews

Resolving invoice/payment queries

Managing payment plans, credit limits, and legal escalations

Supporting the wider finance team when needed

Flexible hours (between 8am–5pm, 2–4 days/week)

Office-based in Poole

Permanent or 12-month contract
