Job description

An excellent opportunity for either an experienced Credit Controller or someone with strong transferable skills seeking to build a career in finance. You will manage customer accounts, ensuring timely payments and supporting wider credit control functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage customer accounts within agreed credit terms.
  • Maintain sales ledger records, process payments, invoices, and credit notes.
  • Chase outstanding debts and resolve invoice queries.
  • Set up and review customer accounts and conduct credit checks.
  • Produce customer statements, credit reports, and maintain credit insurance records.
  • Liaise with internal teams and customers to maintain accurate account information.
  • Support legal proceedings related to credit control where necessary.

Candidate Profile:

  • Some finance, administration, or customer service experience, or proven credit control experience.
  • Confident communicator, organised, detail-oriented, and proactive.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word); Kerridge and Sage experience advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong numerical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
