Hays has partnered with a growing manufacturing business in Ledbury. We are looking for a credit controller who can start immediately on this 3-month contract. The role is office-based and offers £14-£15 an hour.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Credit Assessments:
  • Evaluate new credit requests and conduct client credit checks.
  • Make informed decisions regarding credit approval or denial based on industry standards.
  • Payment Negotiations:
    • Negotiate payment plans with debtors.
    • Set up terms and conditions for credit with new clients.
  • Debt Collection:
    • Manage and collect debts from company debtors.
    • Ensure timely payments from customers.
    • Charge overdue invoices as necessary.
  • Financial Records:
    • Maintain accurate financial records related to credit control.
    • Implement changes in the company's credit control system.
  • Legal Proceedings:
    • Initiate legal proceedings if clients fail to pay their debts on time.
    • Collaborate with solicitors and bailiffs when necessary.
  • Communication and Teamwork:
    • Liaise with clients and customers regularly.
    • Work as part of a team to achieve credit control goals.
