Job description – Credit Controller

Are you a confident self-starter with a positive can-do attitude who has the desire to learn, develop, and get stuck into this role? If so, The Learning People is seeking a full-time Credit Controller who is looking to take the next step in their career and join our team in Hove.

As our Credit Controller, you will be well versed in consumer credit control practice and processes, with excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills, and a high level of attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the aged debt book across all regions.
  • Maintain aged debt at appropriate levels.
  • Actively reduce default rate.
  • Contact customers by telephone and email to chase payment for invoices.
  • Liaise between customers and third-party finance providers to provide excellent service.
  • Monitor customer accounts and ensure they are reconciled in a timely fashion.
  • Cash allocation.
  • Deal with internal and external queries.
  • Daily payment run.
  • Ad-hoc duties as required.

SKILL RANGE:

  • At least 12 months experience in credit control.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident speaking on the phone.
  • Good mathematical & computer skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Job Type: Full time Monday - Friday (37.5 hours a week)

Salary: £27,000

Expected Start Date: May 2025
