A well-known, Legal 500 law firm based in the City of London is seeking a Credit Controller, paying up to £30,000 plus benefits, to join the growing Finance team.

The role offers a flexible working arrangement, primarily working from home, with initial on-site training and team meetings. Therefore, travel to and accessibility of London are essential.

The Credit Controller will support the accounts team with debt management and control, including maintaining an effective debt control system for the firm. Responsibilities include:

• Collection of outstanding debts via telephone and email
• Building strong relationships with clients and accounts teams
• Managing debt collection and status updates
• Preparing weekly and monthly debt analysis reports for management
• Liaising with Partners and fee earners regarding client queries on unpaid bills
• Keeping the Operations Manager informed of issues, providing solutions
• Sending monthly statements and assisting with mail merges
• Supporting projects and reporting as needed
• Maintaining accurate client account records

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of credit control experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment. You should be confident in collecting debts via phone and email, with strong relationship-building skills. The role requires a process-driven, analytical mindset and a solutions-oriented approach.
