An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Credit Controller to join a leading legal firm based in the heart of Glasgow. This is a key role within the finance team, offering hybrid working, a beautiful office environment, and real scope for long-term career development.

As Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing and reducing aged debt, maintaining strong relationships with clients, and ensuring timely payments. Working closely with legal teams and finance colleagues, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the firm's cash flow and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively manage the credit control process for a portfolio of client accounts
• Liaise with clients regarding outstanding payments, resolving queries professionally and promptly
• Monitor and report on aged debt, escalating issues where appropriate
• Work collaboratively with legal teams to ensure billing and collections are aligned
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with regulatory and firm standards

About You:

• Previous credit control experience within a professional services environment (legal, accountancy, consultancy etc.) is highly desirable
• Confident communicator with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office and financial systems
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
