Head Office Crewe

Experienced proactive Credit Controller needed to join our team. Must have good telephone manner, experience in high-volume inbound and outbound calls, and excellent attention to detail to ensure timely payments, resolve queries, and maintain strong customer relationships.

Benefits:

  • 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holiday + Hybrid Working
  • Monday-Friday, rotational shift pattern (08:30-16:30, 09:00-17:00, & 09:30-17:30), subject to change based on business needs
  • Saturdays in peak winter months (October-March), working 1/5 on a rotational basis, with paid overtime for changes in business requirements

The Role:

  • Cash Collection: Actively chase overdue B2B & B2C debts to ensure invoices are paid on time, respecting payment terms and credit limits
  • Inbound Calls: Manage inbound customer and internal depot calls
  • Order Release: Review stopped orders, work with Sales Teams to clear overdue balances or queries, and manage credit limits within SLA
  • Query Management: Identify and resolve customer queries to maintain high service levels
  • Ledger Management: Conduct regular debt ledger reviews, account reconciliations, and manage unallocated cash
  • Fuel Cards: Oversee high-spend fuel card accounts, ensuring credit exposure is within limits
  • Policies & Procedures: Follow company policies and strive for best-in-class credit control practices

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong commercial awareness in a competitive industry
  • Excellent telephone manner, experience in high-volume calls
  • Effective communication skills with B2B and B2C customers
  • Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; SAP experience is desirable
