Credit Controller

Salary - Competitive + Bonus

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Credit Controller to join our Credit Control Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our business cash collection performance, improving profitability, and minimizing debt. This role will directly impact cash flow and ensure timely payment across our diverse customer base.

Key Accountabilities:

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Managing your own ledger(s) to ensure cash collection is completed within customer payment terms.

Overseeing multiple ledgers across various business divisions.

Actively driving the reduction of invoice queries within the business.

Proactively highlighting any issues to the Credit Control Team Leader (CCTL) and/or Credit Manager that may impact cash collection.

Preparing monthly ledger reports, identifying and explaining any variances.

Taking on ad-hoc duties and projects as directed by the CCTL.

Role Dimensions:

Individual Contributor: No direct reports, working across five divisions within the Group.

Supports a business with nearly 3,500 employees and a turnover of approximately £300m.

Person Profile:

We are looking for someone with:

Minimum 1 yearsof Credit Control experience

Strong proficiency in Excel, with knowledge of Sage 200 accounting and Sidetrade Collections Platform.

A resilient, proactive, and hands-on approach, with a strong results orientation.

Excellent personal organization skills.

Proven ability in query resolution and problem-solving.

The capability to build strong working relationships across teams.
