Credit Controller

This is a chance for someone with either a Credit Control or an excellent Customer Service background to work with a market leading business based near central Bristol. Offering hybrid working and a salary of £25,000 - £28,000 depending on experience.

How you'll make an impact

Reporting to the Credit Control Supervisor, your responsibilities will include maximising cash collections through the effective application of the company's credit policy. In addition to investigating and resolving any queries and discrepancies within agreed timescales.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage customer accounts to ensure timely payment of debt
  • Accountable for your allocated ledger
  • Manage the collections and resolution of debt and individual queries
  • Reducing aged debt profile
  • Reduction of debt over 90 days
  • Unallocated cash
  • Processing of credit card payments
  • Setting up customer payment plans in line with company policy
  • Taking payments over the telephone
  • Weekly and monthly reports
  • Allocating payments to relevant accounts
  • Reconciling customer accounts
  • Resolving invoice and delivery queries
  • Obtain proof of delivery and providing copy documents
  • Place customer accounts on stop, and releasing orders where appropriate
  • Provide administration for customer accounts
  • Using the most effective method to collect outstanding debt, either telephone or email
  • Highlight and investigate any exceptions and variances
  • Allocating and creating credit notes
  • Preparing files and information for litigation
  • Liaising with other departments
