Credit Controller
Birmingham
Mon - Fri: 8.30am to 4.30pm
Up to GBP29,000
My client, a reputable Manufacturing company are looking for a confident and motivated Credit Controller to join their Finance team in Birmingham. Youll be instrumental in assessing financial risk, minimising bad debt, and ensuring customer payments are collected efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and manage customer debt to ensure it remains within target levels.
Actively chase and achieve monthly cash collection targets.
Collaborate with key suppliers to assess and reduce financial risk.
Handle customer complaints and debit note queries, working closely with relevant departments to resolve issues.
Provide regular management reports with clear analysis and recommendations.
Support month-end sales ledger processes and contribute to continuous improvement.
Deputise for the Credit Manager when needed, ensuring critical departmental functions continue smoothly.
Follow the monthly arrears process and uphold the companies policies, values, and code of ethics.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in credit control, credit risk, and sales ledger management.
Strong understanding of debt collection legal frameworks.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to travel independently within the UK when required.
Confident communicator - both face-to-face and in writing.
Ability to meet targets and perform under pressure.
Collaborative team player who can also work independently.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
