We’re delighted to be partnering with a fast-growing and innovative business in the energy sector, which is looking for a Credit Control Manager to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking company. The successful candidate will lead the credit control function, drive improvements, and play a pivotal role in ensuring robust cash flow and commercial stability as the business continues to scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support a small Credit Control team, ensuring high standards of output and performance
  • Approve late payment fees and manage escalated debt recovery where necessary
  • Drive timely debt collection and ensure customers adhere to agreed payment terms
  • Reduce debtor days and proactively manage aged debt
  • Resolve customer queries efficiently, working closely with internal teams
  • Produce and present weekly credit control and KPI reports to senior leadership
  • Build and maintain strong internal relationships across departments
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and assist with continuous improvement across the finance function
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, processes, and health & safety standards
  • Support the wider finance team with ad hoc duties as required

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a Credit Control Manager or Senior Credit Controller role
  • Strong team leadership and delegation skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • High attention to detail and ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence working with internal stakeholders to resolve complex issues
  • Solid reporting and analysis skills; experience with KPIs and credit control metrics
  • Prior experience in a software, technology, or energy business would be an advantage
