Job description

Rotheram Carrington Financial Recruitment has the pleasure of supporting a market-leading business in the recruitment of a Credit Control Manager. This job, based in the centre of Chester, joins an established finance team and would suit a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Control Manager. As a hands-on Credit Control Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the company’s credit control processes, supporting escalations, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding debts, and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders.

Your New Job:

  1. Monitor and manage the company’s credit control processes, ensuring the timely collection of payments.
  2. Delegate tasks within the team to ensure key objectives are met.
  3. Provide full management, coaching, support, and development to direct reports.
  4. Monitor KPIs.
  5. Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications with clients regarding their accounts.
  6. Liaise with clients to resolve any queries or disputes related to their accounts.
  7. Conduct regular reviews of customer accounts to assess credit risk and make recommendations for credit limits.
  8. Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure accurate financial reporting and reconciliation.
  9. Utilise accounting software to ensure accurate reporting.
  10. Provide regular reports on aged debtors and cash flow forecasts to senior management.

Your Experience:

  1. A proven background in a credit control or accounts receivable role is essential.
  2. Familiarity with accounting software.
  3. Strong understanding of accounts processes and financial principles.
  4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport with all stakeholders.
  5. Able to promote a proactive, positive, and professional team atmosphere.
  6. Strong experience of end-to-end collections strategy.
  7. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
