Forming part of the Shared Services team, the role of the Credit Control Lead will be responsible for all receivable credit and cash activities. To maximise cash flow by negotiation and liaising with customers and working with our finance business colleagues to retain the exceptional relationships that have already been built with our customers. Supporting the activities in our wider business entities regarding customer invoice and payment cash queries. Exceptional stakeholder management, both internally and externally, will be essential in this role and the ability to provide cash forecasts and reporting on the aged debt

About the Role

If you’ve worked in a Professional Services environment, Consultancy or Engineering / Construction sector, all the better.

Can you manage multiple priorities, manage your own time and meet deadlines? You’ll need to have great attention to detail and understand what it takes to deliver an excellent service to your customers. You’ll also need to understand what great leadership looks like and how to deliver that for your team. You’ll also need to be able to write great, accurate and concise emails.

You may be studying for CICM (Chartered Institute of Credit Management) exams or already have them. Or you may be studying for a different qualification or be interested in exploring one. Either way, you’ll want to continue developing yourself.

  • Accounts receivable, Invoicing, remittance management, and account reconciliations
  • Credit Control liaising with customers on delinquent debts
  • Cash Allocation receipt processing and ad hoc allocation queries
  • Bank Reconciliation AR-related postings
  • Proactive Collections negotiating collections in line with customer payment terms
  • Bad Debt Provision schedule and reviewing postings
  • Intercompany reconciliation

What do we need from you
  • Minimum of 3 years credit control experience
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills
  • CICM qualification desirable
