Job summary

Axon Moore is seeking a hands-on Finance Assistant to join the close-knit finance team in Oldham on a 6‑month hybrid contract. You will support a credit control function, managing a portfolio of around 150 live accounts and ensuring timely payments.

The role includes chasing payments, resolving invoice queries and using Sage 50 with Excel. There is potential to broaden into accounts payable and payroll as you settle in.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of relevant finance or credit control experience.
• Confident chasing payments and resolving invoice queries.
• Practical Excel skills, familiar with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
• Strong organisation with a proactive, collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage allocated customer accounts and follow up outstanding payments.
• Investigate invoice queries and build customer relationships.
• Support finance administration using Sage 50, an in‑house system and Excel.
• Potential to broaden experience into accounts payable and payroll.
