Job description

Credit Control Administrator

Location: Tewkesbury

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00 (37.5 hours per week)

Salary: £25,720per annum

Key Responsibilities of a Credit Control Administrator:

  • Facilitate debt collection and improve the debtor aging profile.

  • Review and report aged debt.

  • Manage customer accounts and reconcile invoices.

  • Liaise with sales managers and depot staff to ensure efficient debt collection.

  • Handle unallocated cash amounts and resolve account queries.

  • Maintain accurate records of chasing activity and client communications.

  • Provide account information to internal departments and assist with reception duties as required.

Key Skills of a Credit Control Administrator:

  • Proven experience in credit control with a good understanding of accounting processes.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and clear telephone manner.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.

  • A proactive, positive attitude with high levels of commitment and flexibility.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong client relationships.

  • Competence in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software.
