Qualifications

  • High school graduation or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • One year of professional banking experience such as Teller, Bookkeeping, administrative or lending knowledge is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain records and files to reflect current status and activities of each loan.
  • Review loan documentation on all new and renewed loans and extensions.
  • Review denied applications.
  • Process all paid loans on a daily basis.
  • Purges files for storage, as time allows.
  • File UCC and EFS continuations, as needed.
  • Prepare internal and external correspondence concerning loan documentation, as needed.
  • Track one time and recurring exceptions.
  • Interact in a professional, courteous manner with co-workers, customers, prospective customers, visitors, vendors, etc.
  • Scan and index loan documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality guidelines in accordance with Bank policy.
  • Perform all documentation tasks according to Bank and regulatory guidelines.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and expertise of loan documentation and collateral procedures and support the Bank’s overall mission, standards, policies and procedures, and confidentiality guidelines.

REPORTS TO: Credit Department Supervisor FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and processing loan files and corresponding documents to ensure perfected status of secured loans and proper recordation of all lending.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Maintain records and files to reflect current status and activities of each loan.
  • Review loan documentation on all new and renewed loans and extensions.
  • Review denied applications.
  • Process all paid loans on a daily basis.
  • Purges files for storage, as time allows.
  • File UCC and EFS continuations, as needed.
  • Prepare internal and external correspondence concerning loan documentation, as needed.
  • Track one time and recurring exceptions.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities..
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
  • High school graduation or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • One years of professional banking experience such as Teller, Bookkeeping, administrative or lending knowledge is preferred but not necessary.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills: able to work well with a wide range of people.
  • Good sense of customer service.
  • Good attention to detail, good analytical abilities and problem solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. Able to prioritize responsibilities and work without supervision.
  • Demonstrates dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules. Able to work with frequent interruptions.
  • Able to perform under time deadlines.
  • Possesses a good understanding of the Bank’s loan products/services.
  • Able to handle increased pressure situations on occasion.
  • Able to perform basic mathematical computations. Able to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
  • Proficient in 10-key. Able to type (minimum 30 wpm).
  • Proficient in basic personal computer applications including Word and Excel.
  • Able and willing to continue business skill development.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This is sedentary work that requires the following physical activities:

  • Sitting or standing for long periods, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing, and visual acuity.
  • Occasional lifting (up to 10 pounds of supply boxes and files). Reaching overhead and bending to reach lower files.
ATTENDENCE REQUIREMENTS

This position works the following time requirements, normally:

  • Reporting at 8:00am on Monday through Friday, normally. Could be asked to report as early as7:00am, when needed.
  • Working until close of day on Monday through Friday (normally 5:00pm Monday - Thursday and 5:30pm on Friday), when needed.
  • Special projects may require supervisor to request time on a Saturday, when needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Normal office environment.
