The Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS) team is seeking an analyst to be based in our London office. The role is open at the Analyst or Senior Analyst level depending on experience.

The RMBS team is responsible for providing ratings for securities backed by residential mortgage loans. It also publishes research on RMBS performance and mortgage market fundamentals, emphasizing quality, transparency, and responsiveness.

Responsibilities

• Analyze new transactions: data collection, cash flow modeling, legal review, and structural analysis.
• Monitor and analyze existing transactions.
• Engage with external parties involved in ratings, including management meetings.
• Present analyses in rating committees.
• Publish rating reports and press releases.
• Potentially contribute to research on market developments.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; relevant experience can substitute.
• At least two years of professional experience, preferably in financial services, securitization, risk management, treasury, or mortgage industry.
• Strong numeracy and Excel proficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
