Credit Admin and Loans Officer (FTC 2 years) 200813JW

It is essential that all applicants have Credit Admin and Loans Admin experience. Unfortunately, our client cannot provide sponsorship and therefore only applicants that have eligibility to work in the UK for 3+ years in the future will be considered.

Our client, a bank based in Central London, is looking for a Credit Admin and Loans Officer to join on a 2-year fixed-term contract. This position is office-based, five days a week.

The successful candidate will be responsible for administering the loan portfolio, including rate fixing, rollovers, drawdowns, and repayments. They will also prepare and review daily excess reports, manage safe custody, process agent letter requests, handle credit referrals, and prepare/review monthly reports such as the credit facilities report and suspense account reconciliation.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake day-to-day debt servicing activities of the loan portfolio, including rollovers, rate fixing, drawdowns, repayments, fees, and covenant compliance.
  2. Maintain all Loans Administration and Credit files.
  3. Monitor and ensure timely renewal of property valuations and insurance policies.
  4. Assist in the preparation and review of facility documentation.
  5. Assist in preparing monthly reports.
  6. Maintain documents in Safe Custody, including lodging, dispatching, reconciling (for audit purposes), and archiving security documents.
  7. Provide desk coverage as required by management.

Experience & Skills required:

  • Solid experience in credit and loans administration.
  • Familiarity with Primary and Secondary market loan closing processes.
  • Awareness of the regulatory and compliance environment.
