Overview

Creative UX Design Manager – Leeds Building Society (Leeds). Contract, Full-time, 12 month fixed term.

And you can play your part too — we have an opportunity to join our accomplished Digital Channels team as a Creative UX Design Manager on a 12 month fixed term basis.

How you'll make a difference

You will lead the UX and Creative team to offer both strategic direction and high-quality execution of the UX team's accountabilities to ensure that the UX team is performing effectively, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality user-centric solutions. You'll create an open and inclusive culture, with highly engaged colleagues, delivering required performance management, development and communication actions. This is an exciting time to join us on our Digital Experience transformation journey in a fundamental role to lead on design.

What will you bring to the role?
  • Previous experience of managing a UX Design team.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to role model, care, connect and coach to drive performance, change, positive engagement and deliver against challenging objectives.
  • Proficiency in UX design tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
  • In-depth knowledge of user research methods and usability testing.
  • Strong understanding of interaction design, visual design, and information architecture.
  • Experience of storytelling, critiquing, facilitating, running workshops and presenting up to Director/Board level when required.
  • Experience of working with Agile methodologies and teams, managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast environment working with various squads and departments.
  • High level of understanding of accessibility requirements when designing, critiquing and reviewing projects.
