We are seeking a dedicated creative individual to join our multidisciplinary team at a leading child and adolescent mental health inpatient unit in Kent. With 14 beds dedicated to supporting children and young people facing mental health challenges, this is a unique opportunity to collaborate with a talented and compassionate multi-disciplinary team of professionals, while having a direct impact on the recovery and well-being of vulnerable young people. The post holder will deliver person-centred, evidence-based care and treatment to children and young people admitted to Kent and Medway Adolescent Hospital. In this role, the post holder will act as the lead professional, overseeing admission, treatment, and discharge processes for young people. Strong clinical, leadership, and administrative skills are essential to ensure the highest quality of care and to fully adhere to the responsibilities outlined in the job description, ultimately providing the best service to our young people.

NELFT places great importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, including mandatory training, systems training, and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will have the opportunity to meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health, wellbeing, and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
This post also attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,313 to a maximum of £5,436 per annum, pro-rata for part-time).
