Job description

We are currently seeking a Creative Therapist (Play, Drama, and Music) to work with looked after children (CLA) in the Hull CAMHS CLA team.

Our service provides therapeutic interventions to children and young people who are looked after, specialising in supporting individuals with attachment difficulties and/or developmental trauma.

As part of the CLA Service within the Hull CAMHS team, this post offers opportunities for professional development and personal growth. Successful applicants will have access to regular support from experienced clinicians and supervision from creative therapists working within and alongside our service.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide advanced assessments and therapeutic interventions within your scope of professional registration.
  2. Prepare comprehensive written reports for the multidisciplinary team following assessments, consultations, and interventions.
  3. Contribute to complex decision-making regarding therapeutic interventions for children, young people, and their carers.
  4. Work autonomously and collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team, offering consultation and support to other agencies such as local authority social workers.
  5. Facilitate reflective practice sessions, including formulation, and contribute to systemic thinking within complex networks supporting looked after children or care leavers.
  6. Contribute to service evaluation, audits, and development initiatives.
