Creative Technologist / AI Interaction Designer
12-month contract | £55.77 per hour PAYE | London, King’s Cross | Hybrid: Tuesday–Thursday onsite

Help shape how people experience AI.
We’re looking for a creative, hands‑on designer to join an innovative team at the forefront of AI research, exploring how emerging technologies can be transformed into engaging, intuitive and interactive experiences.
This is not a traditional UX design role. We’re interested in people who combine creative thinking, an understanding of user interaction and a passion for experimenting with new technology.
You might come from game design, creative technology, interactive UX, digital experiences or a less conventional background. What matters most is your ability to turn ambitious ideas into something tangible.

What you’ll do

• Explore and develop creative concepts that bring emerging AI capabilities to life through interactive experiences.
• Rapidly prototype and experiment with ideas, using AI tools and other creative technologies to demonstrate possibilities.
• Design intuitive user journeys, interactions and engaging experiences that put the user at the centre.
• Collaborate closely with researchers, engineers and designers in small, multidisciplinary teams.
• Experiment with generative AI and AI‑assisted development tools to accelerate creative exploration.
• Present ideas, demonstrate your work and gather feedback to refine concepts quickly.
• Contribute across multiple experimental projects in a fast‑moving, highly creative environment.

What you’ll bring

• Experience in creative technology, interaction design, game design, interactive products or a related discipline.
• Strong creative thinking and the ability to translate ideas into compelling, user‑focused experiences.
• Experience developing interactive concepts, prototypes or digital experiences.
• An interest in generative AI, with some practical experimentation using AI tools or AI‑assisted workflows.
• An understanding of user experience, interaction design and how people engage with technology.
• A proactive, self‑starting approach, with the confidence to explore ideas and present your work.
• The ability to collaborate with technical teams and adapt quickly as projects evolve.

Nice to have

• Experience with game engines such as Unity, Unreal Engine or Godot.
• Familiarity with front‑end technologies, scripting or AI‑assisted prototyping.
• Experience developing AI‑powered products or interactive experiences.
• Exposure to gaming, immersive technology, education or sustainability projects.
