Monocle is seeking a mid-weight project manager to work on exciting and unique projects for global clients.

About Monocle

Monocle is an independent media brand that has built a global reputation for its coverage of international affairs, design, travel, fashion and much more besides. Launched in London in 2007, the business has blossomed to include our famed magazine, daily newsletters, a round-the-clock radio station, international events as well as thriving retail stores, e-commerce and cafés. With HQs, bureaux and shops in Zürich, Tokyo, Merano and Hong Kong we are a truly global team and proud of the fact that today Monocle is a vital source of inspiration, analysis and ideas for our discerning global audience.

About the Role

The commercial team collaborates with both new and established globally recognised clients who share Monocle's dedication to quality, craftsmanship and storytelling. We are a driven team, focused on creating distinctive and effective multi-platform content that reflects Monocle's ethos of excellence and global perspective.

Reporting to the Client Services Director, you will be a key part of the client services team, responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of a number of unique and multi-platform projects. The role will see you engage with clients throughout the delivery of projects. We are looking for candidates who are polished, articulate and can navigate project complexities. Critical to your success will be your exceptional organisation and time management, alongside your ability to effectively influence and collaborate with a number of internal teams.

Minimum Requirements

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Three years of experience working in publishing
  • Commercial and financial acumen, with previous experience using project-management software
  • The ability to independently manage projects from end to end, effectively negotiating multiple work streams and stakeholders throughout
  • Attention to detail, initiative and a proactive approach
  • Confident communication skills, with experience using InDesign, project management tools, Microsoft and Google suites
  • A positive attitude. A true collaborator, you are committed to creating the highest quality products.

We value collaboration and interaction with our colleagues and our clients. We work on unique, global projects alongside our enormously talented international team. This role is based in our Marylebone office and we offer the following benefits:

  • Breakfast provided five days a week
  • Health and life insurance benefits
  • 23 days annual leave, Christmas shutdown and 8 bank holidays
  • Dog-friendly office

Our team is ambitious, talented, professional and committed to excellence in everything they do. If you are keen to join us, please apply today.
