Job summary

Jubilee School in Waterlooville is seeking a Science Teacher for a permanent post starting September 2026. You will deliver GCSE science, tailoring lessons for small groups and 1:1 settings to help students achieve more than expected.

The role requires creativity, resilience and a collaborative approach within a supportive Outcomes First Group environment. 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, UK applicants only.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Science to GCSE level.
• Creative and flexible approach to adapting lessons for individual students and small groups.
• Resilience to support young people with barriers to learning.
• Belief that every student can achieve with the right relationships and support.
• Collaborative approach and safeguarding commitment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Science lessons up to GCSE level, adapting teaching to individual needs, abilities and learning styles.
• Create practical, meaningful learning experiences that build knowledge, confidence, independence and a love of Science.
• Build positive relationships with students and provide calm, consistent support for those with barriers to learning or challenging behaviour.
• Track progress and contribute to Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Plans.
• Work collaboratively with LSAs, tutors, care staff and other professionals to provide consistent support.
• Contribute to the development of Science across the school and help create a stimulating learning environment.
