PUNCH is seeking a dynamic and imaginative Creative Producer to join our team and lead on developing, producing, and delivering our wide-ranging programme of creative events, with a strong emphasis on platforming emerging talent and online audience engagement tools.

Job Responsibilities
Programming & Producing
- You will work collaboratively to shape our seasonal programming and one-off events aligned with our mission and values.
- You will curate and produce events and showcases featuring both emerging and established artists.
- You will oversee the end-to-end delivery of programme and events, including logistics, budgeting, contracting, and artist liaison.
Talent Development
- You will support new and emerging talent through the delivery of our structured development programmes, residencies, and creative commissions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with artists, managers, and industry representatives to nurture long-term collaborations.
Audience Development
- You will work closely with our Communications team to design and deliver strategies to grow and diversify audiences, especially underrepresented groups and marginalised communities.
- You will collaborate with our Communications team to develop engaging content and campaigns that reflect the identity and ambition of each programme.
- You will work with our Insight and Investment Producer to ensure attendance records and audience data are captured effectively, and assist in the compilation of evidence for case studies and reports.
General Administration and Organisation
- Flexibility and responsiveness to the needs of a dynamic and creative environment, including contributing to other areas of work as needed.
- Database Upkeep - Ensure that Punch databases are kept up to date and in line with legal requirements and best practices.
- General Office Duties - Work with the PUNCH team to ensure day-to-day tasks are taken care of, e.g. answering phones, responding to general enquiries via email, greeting visitors and helping to maintain a clean and tidy office, etc.
- Carry out additional tasks as required, in line with the scope and level of the role.
Person Specification
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in producing and programming arts events and bespoke projects
- Strong understanding of the UK’s creative landscape, across genres and scenes.
- Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and reporting.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills; able to liaise confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Familiarity with digital / hybrid event formats and content creation.
- Knowledge of health & safety, risk assessments, and event licensing requirements
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience of working on grant-funded projects or within publicly funded arts organisations.
- A creative mindset and the ability to balance artistic vision with practical delivery.
- Network of industry contacts including artists, agents, venues, and media.
- Demonstrable experience in talent development, with a passion for supporting emerging artists.
- Experience in audience development with a track record of increasing access and engagement across diverse communities.

Other Information
- Contract Type: Full Time (4 days per week Pro Rata)
- Line management: As Creative Producer: Programme you will report to the Head of Programmes and will work closely with the Communications and Parlay teams
- Place of employment: 104, The Zellig, Custard Factory, Gibb St, Birmingham B9 4AT and other locations as agreed by Punch board.
- Review: The board will re-examine this Job Description every three years, and additionally consider updating it on request from the postholder during their annual review.
