A leading cultural institution in London seeks a Creative Participation Producer to interpret maritime histories through creative projects. Royal Museums Greenwich is a collection of diverse historical sites. The sites are the National Maritime Museum, Cutty Sark, the Royal Observatory, and the Queen’s House. Each of these sites has a unique identity and a common purpose to serve our communities, through sharing our collections and expertise. This role is based at the National Maritime Museum but will involve travel to other sites on occasion.
Working within the Engagement team and reporting to the Senior Manager, Community Participation, the Creative Participation Producer will work to interpret British maritime histories through creative responses. This post is responsible for collaboratively developing and delivering creative projects that foster new relationships, develop alternative perspectives and prioritise underrepresented histories. The Creative Participation Producer will enhance access and inclusion for local, national and international creative communities with connections to the collections, themes and sites of Royal Museums Greenwich.
This is a full time, permanent role in Band 5 - Management and Proficient Specialists. Core hours of work will be 36 per week, 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with an additional hour to be worked as agreed upon with management, although due to the nature of the role, some flexibility may be required. This role includes some evening and weekend working with time off in lieu.
Salary: £36,900 per annum
