Yeading Infant & Nursery School is seeking an enthusiastic OPAL Play Leader to support the delivery of engaging outdoor play opportunities for children. You will help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment where pupils can explore, imagine and build confidence.

The role focuses on encouraging active, creative play and supporting children's social, emotional and physical development. Experience with children in educational settings is preferred. DBS check will be completed.

Competenze

• Experience in educational/childcare/play-based settings.
• Enthusiastic, patient and creative with an interest in children's play.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, reliable and able to work as part of a team.
• Understanding safeguarding and child welfare.
• Desirable: childcare/playwork qualification.

• Support and encourage children in a variety of creative, active and imaginative play activities.
• Supervise pupils during playtimes and promote safe and positive play.
• Support use of loose parts, natural materials and play equipment to encourage exploration and creativity.
• Promote positive behaviour and respectful relationships between pupils.
• Ensure play areas, resources and equipment are safe, accessible and well maintained.
• Encourage inclusive play opportunities that meet the needs of all children.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and improve play provision.
