About the role

We’re looking for a Creative Marketing Lead to join our Marketing team at Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels. This is a key role for a creative marketer who understands the power of storytelling. Someone who can honour our heritage of our hotels, while bringing fresh, relevant ideas to life across every channel. You’ll work closely with our marketing team as well as agency partners to deliver high-quality, on-brand creative that connects with today’s guests while staying true to the spirit of our history. From concept to execution, you’ll help shape the future of a beloved brand during a transformative period of investment and growth.

Key responsibilities

As Creative Marketing Lead, you’ll be at the heart of bringing our historic brand to life across every customer touchpoint - guiding the creative vision, inspiring the team, and delivering standout campaigns that connect with our target audience. You’ll champion creativity with purpose, ensuring everything we produce not only looks great but drives results.

  • Shape campaign storytelling – Partner with the Marketing Manager, CRM Manager and wider team to concept and deliver imaginative campaigns for seasonal promotions, brand-building initiatives, and paid media.
  • Elevate our brand – Protect, evolve, and celebrate the Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels brand, ensuring our rich heritage and brand voice are reflected across all creative assets.
  • Own the creative experience – Lead the look, feel, and tone of all campaign, digital and print materials - from our website and app to social media, email, signage, and in-hotel experiences.
  • Set the standards – Co-develop brand guidelines, tone of voice documents, and creative frameworks that make scaling quality creative seamless and sustainable.
  • Lead from the front – Provide inspiring, hands-on creative direction to designers, writers, and content creators, offering clear feedback, sharpening ideas, and keeping everything on brief.
  • Collaborate with creative partners – Manage relationships with freelancers, agencies, and production teams to deliver bold, polished creative on time and within budget.
  • Balance vision with impact – Ensure every creative project aligns with business goals, meets deadlines, and delivers meaningful results for the brand.

Desired criteria

We’re seeking a strategic yet imaginative creative leader. Here’s what you’ll need to bring to the role;

  • Have proven experience in a creative or marketing role (e.g., Marketing Manager, Social Media Manager etc) and understand how a marketing department functions—particularly how content, campaigns, and customer experience come together
  • Have design experience and be proficient with Adobe platforms such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lightroom.
  • Have a deep understanding of brand identity, storytelling, tone of voice, and design principles
  • Be confident briefing, reviewing, and presenting creative work to internal stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Bring hands-on knowledge of the creative world (e.g., design, copywriting, video). You don’t need to do the work, but you must be able to articulate a creative vision clearly
  • Be organised, commercially aware, and comfortable balancing creativity with business goals, deadlines, and budgets

Location: This role is ahybrid rolewith 3 days based at Crieff Hydro Resort, Crieff, Perthshire and the remaining 2 days working from home.
