Job description

Job Description:

Protocol Education is currently recruiting creative-minded teaching assistants to work with students with special needs (SEND) starting from September 2024. These roles are suitable for applicants with or without experience who enjoy working with young people and have a creative approach. The primary focus is on supporting students on a one-to-one basis, preparing them for adulthood, and engaging them in creative activities such as music and art. There are also opportunities to assist outdoors at farms, work placements, and other community organizations, encouraging students to explore life outside of education.

The role includes:
  • Location: Sutton, London
  • Full-time, Monday to Thursday, with optional Fridays
  • Long-term employment with job security
  • Supporting small classes of 6-8 students
  • Developing students' academic and social skills through creative methods
  • Teaching numeracy with a focus on independence and mobility
  • Supporting community engagement and work placements
  • Training opportunities during employment
