Milk Education is recruiting for aLearning Support Assistant (LSA)role in aspecialist SEN school in Salford, supportingchildren aged 4-16 with Autism and associated neurodivergent conditions. This role is a unique opportunity for those with agenuine interest in Clinical Psychology, providing direct experience working with some of the mostvulnerable children in society.

The Role

• Supportingchildren aged 4-16with arange of Autism, from low to high support needs.
• Working with pupils withco-occurring neurodivergent conditions, includingADHD, OCD, hyperactivity, sensory processing difficulties, and social communication needs.
• Assisting in astructured and nurturing classroomenvironment, promotingemotional and academic growth.
• Usingpsychological and therapeutic strategiesto support behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Watch Occupational therapies, Speech and Language therapies, Drama, Music and Art therapies take place, the opportunity to shad
• Collaborating withtherapists, SEN specialists, and teaching staffto deliverpersonalised learning and support plans.
• Helping toregulate emotions and build coping strategies, learninghow different interventionswork in practice.
• Engaging inapplied psychology approaches, such ascognitive-behavioural techniques, structured interventions, and sensory regulation strategies.
• Assisting withpersonal care routines, including feeding and hygiene support, where required.

What We’re Looking For

• Psychology graduates(or those looking to retrain in psychology, clinical mental health, or therapy-based careers).
• Agenuine aspirationto work inClinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy, or Mental Health Support.
• Apatient and compassionate nature, with the ability toconnect with and supportvulnerable children.
• Aninterest in neurodevelopment and behavioural psychology, with a desire toapply theory to real-world situations.
• Aresilient and reflective mindset, with the ability towork through challengesand understand the complexity of Autism and related conditions.
• Commitment to the rolefor at least the academic year, ensuring consistency for both yourself and the pupils.
