Job summary

A leading educational agency in the UK is seeking a creative and enthusiastic graduate for their graduate programme, aimed at supporting young learners with various needs. The successful candidate will work closely with children aged 3-19 in a supportive setting, promoting inclusion and contributing to a creative curriculum. We're seeking a creative and enthusiastic graduate to join our graduate programme, partnering with a warm and inclusive SEND provision in the Denton area of Newcastle, where you'll play a key role in supporting and inspiring young learners.

The provision caters for children aged 3-19 with additional needs, including complex and multiple learning disabilities and difficulties, speech, languag,e and communication needs, physical and sensory needs.

Creative Graduate Role & Responsibilities:

  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
  • Contribute to developing a creative curriculum where creative learning opportunities are available for all pupils
  • Support pupils in small groups and on a one-to-one basis whilst responding to their individual needs
  • Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/work plans as appropriate

Non-negotiables:

  • Must have obtained a 2:2 or above in degree
  • Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Experience in one or more creative subjects (Music, Drama, Sports, Art, Creative Writing, Psychology)
  • Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the classroom teacher and as part of a wider team
