Job Description:

As a Creative Director in the Brand Innovation Lab team, you will be leading one-of-a-kind campaigns for a wide range of global brands from creative brief to launch. You'll work with a team of art directors, copywriters, designers, strategists, solutions managers, and content producers to create innovative work by coming up with campaign ideas using the Amazon canvas (i.e. Alexa, Twitch, IMDb, Prime Video). You'll lead projects and own client relationships, focusing on creating work that benefits the end customer while pushing the creative envelope. In this role, you will craft high-level creative ideas that solve business needs for brands. You will investigate Amazon/3P data to generate insights based on observed customer behavior. And, through a deep understanding of Amazon’s suite of tools and services, recommend campaign frameworks that balance advertiser goals with customers’ expectations. You will think across Amazon platforms and beyond, manage complex projects, and create tailored content across channels driving the marketing objectives of advertisers. You will effectively communicate with key stakeholders and external media and creative agencies. You will work with senior leadership to create processes and establish best practices that drive operational and creative excellence. And you will mentor creatives and foster the team culture of collaboration and inspiration.

Key job responsibilities
- Independently direct campaigns and collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external agency partners- Direct creative disciplines outside your area of functional expertise and provide feedback in all stages of the creative development process- Partner with and/or lead art directors, copywriters, designers, program managers, developers, and content producers to create customer-focused solutions that deliver on advertiser objectives- Deliver high-quality copy for campaigns across different Amazon touch-points- Provide in-depth understanding of copywriting for all formats—digital, print, out-of-home, video and audio scripts, and more- Concept, pitch, design, and execute innovative ad campaigns and experiences for global brands, from developing the creative brief to launching the campaign- Work with strategists to define the creative strategy for multiple advertisers- Synthesize strategic research and/or data to develop campaign ideas- Lead the creation of presentations; present ideas and concepts to clients, agencies, and internally- Make creative trade-off decisions between teams, clients, and end-customer needs- Measure and evaluate current processes within the department and improve them through documentation- Mentor and inspire other creatives

Brand Innovation Lab (BIL) is an award-winning advertising team that conceptualizes and executes bespoke advertising experiences for brands who invest in media with Amazon Ads, scaling successful campaign elements as new products or features in existing products. Our global team of storytellers and innovators includes creatives, strategists, design technologists, engineers, producers and more, collaborating to create customer-obsessed solutions across the Amazon canvas (Alexa, Twitch, Prime Video, Fire TV, etc.) that are customized to our advertisers' goals.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience driving compelling creative strategy and execution at an agency or in-house creative team
- Bachelor's degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience as a Creative Director (with an art director background) at either agency or advertiser
- Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Figma, Illustrator, Keynote
- Experience developing cross-functional relationships with product, consumer research and marketing teams to develop strategy and consumer insights that drive compelling creative executionsExperience leading creative development of innovative creative from concept to deliveryExperience managing creative (internal team of art directors, designers, copywriters, external agencies and freelancers)Experience presenting creative concepts effectively to senior executivesExperience managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines
