About The Role

We're seeking a driven and experienced Copywriter to join our dynamic creative team. You'll be a versatile and strategic storyteller, capable of navigating diverse projects and delivering impactful copy across all channels. Reporting directly to the Head of Creative, you will contribute to the overall creative strategy and execution, ensuring brand consistency and impactful messaging across all platforms.

As a key contributor, you'll take ownership of complex briefs, crafting compelling narratives that resonate with both our B2B dealer and B2C consumer audiences. You'll demonstrate a mastery of the Motorway tone of voice, seamlessly adapting your style to suit various platforms and objectives.

Your Expertise Will Drive Results

• Strategic Content Leadership: Contribute to overall creative strategy, ensuring brand consistency and impactful messaging.
• Cross-Channel Brand Mastery: Expertly adapt the Motorway brand voice across all communication channels, including complex CRM campaigns, high-impact ad copy, and strategic on-site content.
• Brief Ownership & Creative Direction: Take ownership of complex briefs, provide insightful creative direction, and deliver compelling copy that elevates the customer, dealer, and partner experience.
• Content Creation & Mentorship: Independently create high-quality copy, while providing constructive feedback and guidance to junior copywriters and other contributors.
• SEO & CRM Optimisation: Drive content optimisation for SEO and CRM, leveraging data-driven insights to improve performance.
• High-Velocity, High-Quality Delivery: Consistently deliver accurate, well-researched, and customer-focused copy, even under tight deadlines.
• Strategic Feedback Integration: Proactively seek and incorporate feedback, demonstrating a strong understanding of Motorway's commercial proposition.
• Industry Expertise & Thought Leadership: Expand knowledge of the automotive industry and the used car market, contributing to Motorway's competitive advantage.
• Market & Competitor Analysis: Conduct thorough market and competitor analysis, ensuring Motorway's messaging remains relevant, distinct, and competitive.

• Proven conceptual and execution expertise, with a track record of driving engagement and achieving measurable results (e.g. SEO metrics, conversion rates).
• Advanced digital brand voice development, with a keen understanding of evolving digital trends.
• Strategic customer and commercial focus, translating business objectives into compelling copy.
• Trend awareness and visual thinking, adapting writing styles across various channels (email, in-product, SEO, etc.).
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, simplifying complex concepts.
• Strategic prioritisation and flexibility, managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Team collaboration and growth mindset, with a commitment to continuous learning.
