Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Creative Classroom Assistant to work in welcoming Primary Schools, starting in September. This role suits graduates passionate about education, child development and inspiring young learners, with opportunities for ongoing development within Milk Education’s support network.

Responsibilities include supporting pupils across EYFS to KS2, delivering creative activities, and assisting teachers to foster an inclusive classroom.

Qualifications

• Degree obtained within the last five years.
• Professional employment references covering the last two years.
• Passion for supporting children and young people.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Creative, energetic and adaptable approach to learning support.
• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 on a one-to-one, small group and whole-class basis.
• Deliver engaging and creative learning activities to support pupil development.
• Assist teachers in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support literacy, numeracy and intervention sessions.
• Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and independence.
• Support children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs and SEMH.
• Help develop pupils' social, emotional and communication skills.
• Prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
• Promote positive behaviour and support pupils' wellbeing.
